Mark your calendar for October 3rd and 4th for a celebration featuring over 100 local food traders showcasing their finest offerings. From cheeses to chutneys, indulge in a variety of flavours that define the region.
Alongside food and drink, we’ll host demonstrations and workshops where local experts share tips and tricks to assist in your culinary journey. Whether you’re a fantastic foodie or simply seeking a fun weekend outing to support local businesses, the Powderham Food Festival promises a weekend filled to the brim with local food, drinks, crafts, and entertainment.
Here’s a taste of what we have in store…
For the Foodies
With over 100 traders offering samples, delicious dishes to enjoy on-site, and high-quality produce to take home, there’s something for everyone. Our ‘World Foods’ area will feature a fantastic array of street-food-style dishes, from fluffy bao buns and aromatic curries to vibrant Thai dishes.
If you’ve got more of a sweet tooth, we have you covered with a delicious selection of creamy ice creams, sweet crepes, hot chocolate, indulgent fudge and plenty more. For those who enjoy a tasty snack-sized treat, head to the artisanal cheeses and freshly baked goods.

Think you can handle the heat?
Hosted by the Clifton Chilli Club, the chilli eating competition pits Devon’s bravest against round after round of ever-hotter chillies. Watch from a safe distance, or step up and take them on: 2:30pm on the demo stage, both days.
Drink Connoisseurs
At the Powderham Food Festival, our drinks section is as exciting as our food offerings! We have an impressive selection of traders showcasing their finest tipples. Sip on craft beers and distinctive ales, savour expertly locally distilled spirits, and enjoy refreshing artisanal soft drinks. Whether you’re in the mood for robust rums, zesty ginger beverages, or smooth liqueurs, we’ve got something for everyone!
For those who’d like a refreshing break, the Powderham Pub is returning and will offer a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Expert Talks & Live Demonstrations
The 2026 demo stage line-up is here! Try crawling, hopping and slithering snacks with Under The Canopy, watch gluten free baking with Laura Strange of Eat & Enjoy Gluten Free, and pick up crowd pleasing summer recipes from MasterChef finalist Chiara Tomasoni.
There’s also bacon curing with Good Game, fish cooked over fire, chocolate moulding with Melting Whisk, and the infamous chilli eating competition, twice.
Gross Eats with Under The Canopy
Delve into the world of the less savoury snacks: learn about and try ‘gross foods’ from around the world, breakfast, lunch and dinner all from the insect world.
Find their wilderness-styled stand for tasters, live crickets and chocolate insect challenges, spin the wheel of grossness, and catch the Feral Foods demo at 11am on both days.
Coffee Enthusiasts
We understand the importance of a good coffee and we’re pleased to have curated a special selection for coffee enthusiasts. Discover the rich flavours of locally roasted beans, refreshing cold brews and a range of delicious coffee selections and treats.
Craft Stalls
Discover a treasure trove of handcrafted gifts from talented local artisans, featuring everything from exquisite handmade silver jewellery and one-of-a-kind art pieces.
Fun and Entertainment
Alongside fantastic food, drinks, and craft stalls, we’ve got entertainment for all ages, including plenty for the little ones! Dan the Hat is back, and so are the Bouncing Chefs, joined by the climbing wall, archery and Under The Canopy’s Gross Eats stand. Excitement is guaranteed!
